Huntingdon Valley Country Club is a private, family-oriented club.  HVCC was founded in 1897 by a group of prominent Philadelphians with a focus on providing incomparable service to its members. I think you’ll find life at HVCC to be rich with athletic and social opportunities, made all the richer for the lifelong friendships you’ll develop here.

Championship Course & Spectacular Courts

Designed by legendary course architect William S. Flynn, our 27-hole championship golf course is the crown jewel of HVCC. Ranked among the Top Five courses in Pennsylvania by Golf Digest, this remarkable beauty offers new challenges every time you tee up.

Overseeing our golf program is Ian Dalzell, PGA Member and Irish native. Ian and his professional staff tend to every golf-related detail at HVCC, from conducting private lessons to coordinating exceptional corporate golf events.

Those who’d rather hold a racquet than a club can keep swinging year-round on six pristine clay tennis courts and three all-weather courts. Two platform tennis courts and two regulation squash courts complete the set.

Swimming & The Sporting Life

Whether it’s a refreshing dip after a round of golf or a day of family fun in the sun, the pool is the hub of club life during the summer. We also have a first-rate children’s swim program, renowned for its history of championship teams.

A Sunday tradition at the time of our founding, trap shooting was an activity enjoyed by men and women alike. That custom continues today from November through March, providing a terrific social atmosphere and high-spirited fun.

And, of course, to help keep you in shape and ready to go, we have a well-stocked fitness center featuring professional exercise and yoga programs.

Dining Excellence & Exceptional Events

With so many ways to work up an appetite, it’s no wonder HVCC boasts such a wondrous selection of dining choices. From a romantic candlelit dinner to a formal celebration, the Toomey Grille will meet your every expectation with first-class cuisine and a breathtaking view of the surrounding vistas. For a quick bite, the Huntingdon Pub is the place to be. And, in another long-held tradition, the Flynn Lounge provides men a place of their own to relax over a drink or two.

To keep things exciting throughout the year, we hold various themed events, like our Caribbean Night and Lobster Night, along with such family-oriented activities as the spine-tingling Halloween Hayride and the Snowball Open – a 3-day, indoor miniature golf tournament. Come holiday time, our classic Christmas and New Year’s Eve Parties always draw rave reviews.
